9 WWE Wrestlers For Whom 2017 Is Make Or Break

3. Braun Strowman

In 2016 Braun Strowman did the somewhat unthinkable and got over. When he was introduced to the WWE Universe in late 2015 he did so to audible groans and talk of ‘oh look another big dude, yippee’. In 2016 Strowman has shown a willingness to learn and improve, and he has clearly been one of the major success stories from the 2016 draft.

The Black Sheep needs to build on this and continue his evolution in 2017, because if he can become a somewhat competent professional wrestler then he is going to be very useful indeed. Strowman has a largely-unknown charismatic side, and with the right booking could go on to become a major big babyface for WWE.

As a heel there is a lot for him too, and if he continues to improve then the year will see a number of major feuds for the Abominable Strowman. That nickname is terrible, however.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
