AEW All Out: 10 Things That Must Happen
6. Cody Vs. Shawn Spears Becomes No DQ
This one.
Cody vs. Shawn Spears has developed into one of the few fleshed-out feuds AEW has in its locker. They deserve credit for that; taking WWE cast-off Tye Dillinger, slapping the credibility of an old NWA favourite on him and having him gun for a top star like Cody has worked. Spears is finally close to being the 'Perfect 10' he was never going to be elsewhere.
It'd be a riot to see his rivalry with Cody ascend to the next level and become the No DQ effort it has the gas to be. That chair shot back at Fyter Fest in June alone should make Cody want to inflict maximum damage on Spears and put him back in his place as a "good hand".
Meanwhile, the new stipulation would give Spears fresh impetus to prove himself on such a big stage and become a major player in AEW before the promotion lands on national television. How convenient for the future to come, and how necessary it is to throw rules out the window this Saturday.
