AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: 37 Things You Probably Missed

28. Nick Jackson Does ‘Macho Man’

Nick Jackson randomly paused mid-tag match to imitate 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, presumably for his own entertainment. Tony Schiavone got a kick out of it too, to be fair - the announcer chuckled, then asked what the heck Nick was playing at.

Just being 'Cream Of The Crop', T.

27. Some Shield References

That wasn't the only tribute hidden in the AEW Tag Title bout.

Later, The Young Bucks had Moxley down and performed The Shield's old fist bump pose. Then, Matt went to do Roman Reigns' "Oooo-aaaah" yell, and Nick picked Mox up for a powerbomb. They didn't get to complete it, sadly.

No, the announce trio of Excalibur, JR and Schiavone didn't mention who The Bucks were mimicking either. Probs wise.

26. What Excalibur Called This

Excalibur did have a nice moment in the tag by re-dubbing the 'Doomsday Device' the, "Diors-day Device". Why? Well, Moxley leapt at Matt Jackson with one of those custom-made Dior Jordans in hand, and splatted him off Eddie Kingston's shoulders like they were The Road Warriors.

Who knows if Excalibur came up with that on the spot. If he did, then kudos - it was clever.

25. Nick Landing Right On His Head

Nick wouldn't have been feeling too clever when he bumped for a Moxley lariat though. Keep a finger on that handy pause button and you'd be met with the shot above. It shows Jackson landing right on top of his head rather than fully rotating over.

Ouch.
