AEW Double Or Nothing 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. AEW Rush Kenny Omega Back

Recent reports online say that Kenny Omega isn’t ready for a return quite yet. This is wrasslin' though, so that might not stop AEW from booking a no-contact staredown spot right at the end of Double Or Nothing. The temptation would be real, 'cause they may want a headline-making return for the sake of it.

What'd come after that though? Weeks (if not months) of silence from Omega as he readies for an in-ring comeback? That doesn't sound very thrilling, but it wouldn't be the first time a wrestling promotion has rushed someone back for a one-night pop before making fans wait it out.

Omega staring down Hangman Page would also look weird - that'd present Kenny as a returning babyface desperate to avenge his Full Gear loss, and it'd encroach on the babyface thunder Page is struggling to hold onto himself. Plus, CM Punk would be shoved right out of the title mix within minutes.

Nah, please don't book this.
