AEW Double Or Nothing 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

9. Literally Nobody Cares About This Match

Toni Storm performed a cheeky tease angle on TV to both promote Double Or Nothing and mock her rival Serena Deeb's serious wrestling dojo. Unfortunately for 'Timeless', even going chin up, t*ts out may not be enough to save the AEW Women's Title match from being one of Sunday's most yawn-worthy outings.

Few (if any) fans believe Deeb has a shot at taking the belt from Toni, and the story leading into this pay-per-view has hardly been compelling. In fact, it has boiled down to Serena warning Storm to cut the crap, and then Toni upping her histrionics for attention. There's a disconnect though - people aren't all that excited about seeing the pair wrestle.

Yikes.

Storm has one of the most engaging and colourful characters in modern wrestling, so it's a pity she's been relegated to this sort of 'B' feud heading into one of AEW's biggest nights. Toni vs. Deeb belongs on Battle Of The Belts, not Double Or Nothing.
