AEW Double Or Nothing 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

8. Willow Nightingale Gets NOTHING

AEW Tony Khan
All Elite Wrestling

AEW must be praying they see a better return on the sizeable investment Tony Khan made in Mercedes Mone. Thus far, the ex-Sasha Banks hasn't paid dividends for the promotion in terms of television ratings, and it remains to be seen whether she can bring in some pay-per-view dollars. We're about to find out.

Mone is a dead cert to take the TBS Title from Willow Nightingale. It'd be a shock if she lost, but that's not the top worry here. No, it's far more concerning to imagine that all of Willow's hard graft could be rolled up into a ball and tossed away just because Tony has a new action figure to play with.

Willow better get her licks in, and plenty of them.

She deserves better than to lose some sub-10 minute squash that's only on the card to shine a spotlight on all things Mercedes. Nightingale has worked too hard and for too long to become Mone's punching bag in a match that doesn't even reflect Mercedes' key strengths anyway.

Mone will win, but at least let Willow look competitive.
