AEW Double Or Nothing 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

6. Chris Jericho’s Pain Train Rolls On

AEW live crowds have spoken, and (being blunt) they want Chris Jericho to beat it. Any of the support Jericho had when he helped launch the promotion has vanished. He couldn't be further from the guy who worked World Title matches right now, and it's kinda sad to see for longtime fans who have watched him since the WCW days.

Many predict that Hook will win the number one contender situation on Dynamite (which hasn't happened at time of writing), then march on to Double Or Nothing to regain his FTW Title from Chris. In a perfect world, AEW would ditch the unofficial belt completely, but a fair compromise is letting Hook do his own thing with it.

Big Bill is right there as a possible tag-team partner that saves the day for Jericho, so it'd suck to see the former 'Y2J' continue to waste everyone's time in matches few actually want to see. Just let Hook tap him out, then move Jericho into the tag ranks where he'll hopefully be less exposed.

Or, y'know, take him off TV for a spell.
