AEW Double Or Nothing: 8 Matches We Want To See

2. Chris Jericho Vs. Kenny Omega II

The Wrestling Observer reported last summer that a Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega rematch very nearly happened. Was it at Wrestle Kingdom 13 or in New Japan at all? Nah, it was almost in Canada. According to the Observer, Winnipeg promoter Tony Condello was priced out of the blockbuster sequel, meaning it's still available.

Step up, AEW.

If it's possible and Omega's NJPW deal doesn't get in the way, then we'd love to see the rematch happen at Double Or Nothing. Just think about how much it'd mean to All Elite's first ever event if they were somehow able to work 'Alpha vs. Omega II' onto the card. It's a must if the Khans, Cody and The Bucks find a way.

The only things stopping this would be Kenny's aforementioned Japanese commitments and Jericho's own willingness. Y2J may believe the rematch would be best-kept for New Japan, and so he might not green-light it for an upstart company. Screw that: the wrestling world deserves to see it ASAP.
