AEW Double Or Nothing: 8 Things We Learned

3. WWE Should've Booked Brother vs. Brother Properly

It's no coincidence that the two best matches at Double Or Nothing had story to add context and meaning to them even happening in the first place. Both Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega and Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes were fitting chapters in their respective rivalries, and that's not all.

One proved something else: Cody vs. Dustin in WWE should've been 10x better than it was.

F*ck Fastlane 2015's lame-brained attempt to portray Stardust vs. Goldust as a battle of the bros. That was utter tripe compared to the drawn-out melodrama of watching Cody in his more natural guise (pardon the pun) against a sibling who had everything to prove.

The blood content may have been a bit gag-inducing, and the 22-minute length did nowt for Dustin's lungs (he was visually struggling late on), but this was a tale that needed telling. To think, WWE could have had it for themselves. If only Vince hadn't been so hung up on Stardust.
