4. Meaningful Cameos Worked

Between Bret Hart coming out to showcase the new AEW Title, Diamond Dallas Page interrupting Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes to carry a meddling Brandi off back up the ramp, UK comedian Jack Whitehall looking like he might snuff it from extreme marking out and beyond, Double Or Nothing had some stellar cameos.

They went down a storm with Las Vegas, and they came across sweetly on camera. That, in the end, is all those in charge could have hoped for.

Seeing the likes of Glacier, Tommy Dreamer and Billy Gunn in the pre-show's 21-man 'Casino Battle Royal' also added to the cameo star power. Right from the get-go, All Elite were building the sense that heritage and surprise were key. It was a powerful combo.

Not only that, but the show had a handful of those who were on hand for WWE's Hall Of Fame 2019 ceremony. Both Gunn and Bret were inductees shortly before WrestleMania 35. That's a nice thought.
