AEW Homegrown Star To Jump To WWE In 2026? (AEW News)

Rumours abound that this current AEW wrestler could be heading to WWE in the new year.

Fightful Select reports that Anna Jay's current deal with AEW is set to lapse in the spring of 2026, not at the turn of the year as some sources previously thought. However, the website also detailed how those same sources believe Jay is "open to exploring her options" once she's a free agent.

That might mean a jump to WWE in the new year.

Fightful also said that Anna has "connections within WWE and NXT" that could come in handy if she's looking for a change of scenery. Of course, this would mark yet another homegrown star that Tony Khan has lost to his rivals - Jade Cargill, Ricky Saints and others have already made the leap.

Further, Khan has lost major players like Cody Rhodes, Aleister Black and Rusev over the years since Triple H seized control of WWE operations from Vince McMahon. Could Anna Jay be the next in line to switch #AllElite for NXT, Raw or SmackDown?

According to Fightful, Jay had hoped to be part of the women's Blood & Guts match in November, but that didn't happen. Most alarmingly, neither she nor tag-team partner Tay Melo/Guevara have been spotted on AEW programming since.

The pair haven't wrestled since losing a Women's Tag-Team Title tournament quarter final to Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir on the 19 November edition of Collision, so nobody really knows what the future holds for Anna.

It'll be interesting to see what her next move is once her AEW contract expires. There's a solid chance that WWE will entertain bringing her in.
