Free agents Toni Storm and Athena (formerly Ember Moon) are the subjects of differing levels of interest from All Elite Wrestling, reports Fightful Select.

Tony Khan's promotion is believed to have a "significant" desire to sign Storm, with some people on the roster expecting the 26-year-old to show up in AEW before long. A number of wrestlers currently working for AEW have been pushing for the company to snap her up.

Meanwhile, what has been described as a "feeling out process" has taken place between AEW and Athena. Light talks to gauge interest have been conducted, though there's currently no word on whether or not she will end up joining the company. As things stand, there isn't a great degree of urgency to secure her signature, with Athena reportedly "very selective" of the indie wrestling bookings she is taking at the moment.

Neither wrestler is currently bound to a non-compete clause following their WWE departures in recent months. Athena was the first of the two to leave when she was released as part of one of WWE's swooping rounds of "budget cuts" last November, while Storm requested her release on 29 December, citing "burnout" as the reason.

While Toni is yet to re-emerge in wrestling, Athena has since faced the AEW-contracted Thunder Rosa and Skye Blue on the independents.
