AEW Official Shoots Hard On Hangman Page Injury Leak

One prominent backstage figure wasn't happy about AEW "cliff hanger" potentially being blown.

Reports that Hangman Page was absolutely fine in spite of what appeared to be a possible ankle injury following Wednesday's AEW Dynamite were mostly greeted with relief and a wry smile from those wanting to see the 'Anxious Millennial Cowboy' fighting fit.

The sentiment was not exactly shared by All Elite Wrestling producer, coach and senior backstage figure Jerry Lynn. The former ECW Champion obviously didn't want physical harm to have befallen Page, but was none-too-pleased that any story regarding his wellbeing broke at all within 24 hours of the show going off the air.

Directly referencing reporting from Fightful Select that a source noted that Hangman was simply "good at his job", Lynn posted on X that;

"This shouldn't even be announced. God forbid we have a cliff hanger for next week".

Lynn clearly isn't targeting Page (or even Fightful for their reporting), but appears extremely frustrated that the news was leaked and/or the story exists at all. Hangman affected a serious limp and uncharacteristically asked cameras not to shoot him after he rolled to the floor following a Muscle Buster escape in his match alongside Hook and Rob Van Dam against Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage. That may have had ramifications heading into next week, but Lynn is casting doubt on that having the desired impact with this news being out there.

Page will take on the AEW Champion and Strickland in a three-way at Revolution on March 3rd.
