AEW Revolution 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. Britt Baker Marches On

One gets the feeling that Tony Khan would be making a mistake if he took the AEW Women's Title off Britt Baker on Sunday. It's tempting, sure; Thunder Rosa is awesome, and her having Britt's number (she won last year's 'Lights Out' bout despite Baker's subsequent rise) is a cool narrative.

Baker isn't quite finished with the throne yet though. She's on top of this division for a reason, and she's still the best all-rounder on the women's side in AEW. The company need her promo skills to carry programs. Also, Britt is so tantalisingly close to breaking Hikaru Shida's 372-day mark to become the longest-reigning female champ in All Elite yet.

She deserves to do that.

Give it another three months (or therein thereabouts), let Baker break the record and then start looking at who can strip the title from her waist. Thunder can be rebuilt in time for that if she's the follow-up champion Khan really wants.
