AEW Revolution 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen

8. Toni Storm’s ‘Timeless’ Run Continues

Deonna Purrazzo is an interesting challenger, but there’s simply no need to cut Toni’s run off quite yet. She’s one of the most entertaining things about AEW TV, so it’d be a shame to lose that from the weekly lineup. Sure, Toni wouldn't have to switch gimmicks post-title run, but...well, the belt is best around her waist for now.

Maybe have Mariah May step in to save Storm's skin and help feed into a rematch. If handled correctly, this could line Purrazzo up for a huge title win come Double Or Nothing (after she works her way through the ranking again). It'd be really fun if All Elite stuck that match in a cage so Toni had no backup and nowhere to run.

Just a thought.

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus inside a cage was a hoot on WWE's side last year, and there's no reason to expect anything less than excellence from Toni and Deonna. Revolution's match is a first chapter, not a blow off one.
