Chris Jericho appeared to confirm that Cody Rhodes is on his way to WWE during the latest episode of Talk is Jericho.

Attorney Michael Dockins was Jericho's guest. Understandably, given how frequently professional wrestlers use Dockins' services in this field, trademarking was a big topic of conversation.

The discussion turned to Rhodes and his seemingly impending WWE return. On Rhodes' various wrangles with WWE concerning his ring name over the years, Jericho commented as follows, mentioning his former AEW rostermate going back to WWE (h/t WrestlingNews.co):-

“I’m pulling back the curtain a little bit on the wrestling business. You’re gonna discover how I’ve been able to be Chris Jericho no matter what company I work for or where I wrestle. You’ll hear how Danhausen gets to keep his name and gimmick from promotion to promotion. How Cody got to reclaim Rhodes from WWE even though he’s back in WWE…”

The ever-evolving saga of Cody's WWE return appears to be nearing its end now. Last week brought reports that Rhodes had finally re-signed with the market leaders and with Seth Rollins reportedly on the horizon for him at WrestleMania 38, WWE is seemingly hoping to recreate The Hardy Boyz' 'Mania 33 magic.

Rhodes was Jericho's first AEW World Championship feud after becoming the company's inaugural champion at All Out 2019. The storyline culminated at Full Gear three months later, with Cody's defeat stipulating he could never challenge for the belt again.
