AEW's Jade Cargill: "CM Punk Can Do Whatever The Hell He Wants To Do!"

Jade Cargill has a LOT of time for ex-AEW alumni CM Punk; shares advice he gave her backstage.

Jade Cargill has called CM Punk "a great guy", and said she learned a lot from the controversial star during his time on the active roster.

Current TBS Champ Jade told 'Bootleg Kev' that Punk also gave her some top advice when they sat next to one another during AEW signings and other fan-led appearances; Punk advice? "Just stand on what you believe. Don’t be a pushover!".

Cargill "admired that", and it was especially helpful because she'd never cut her teeth on the independent wrestling scene before becoming a star attraction in AEW. So, to navigate potential heat behind the scenes, Jade leaned on advice from Punk and was very grateful to him for it.

She also revealed that Punk was generally "nothing but nice" to the entire women's locker room in All Elite. He was a popular figure there, because he was courteous and always available to give feedback.

When asked to comment on the fiery backstage fighting after All Out last year, Cargill said she didn't see it firsthand. However, she does think Punk "can do whatever the hell he wants to do", and says he "doesn't need" to work anywhere he doesn't want to in 2023.
