Having suffered an unfortunate bicep tear on the 28 January edition of Dynamite, recent AEW signee Jake Doyle has now undergone surgery.

Via Fightful Select, the former Jake Something had successful surgery at some point this week. As it stands, there are no details on a return timeline for Jake at this early time, though recovery from such an injury tends to be anywhere between three and six months.

Jake Doyle made his AEW debut on the 7 January edition of Dynamite, being revealed as a member of the ever-expanding Don Callis Family following the expiration of the hugely talented powerhouse's TNA deal at the end of last year. Jake would make his in-ring AEW bow on the 24 January edition of Collision, where he and Mark Davis picked up a win over Alec Price and Jordan Oliver. It was the next week's Dynamite where this bicep tear unfortunately happened, as Doyle and Davis took on FTR for the AEW Tag Team Championships. After taking a DDT on the ring apron from Cash Wheeler, Jake could clearly be heard telling Cash that he'd torn his bicep.

While it's clearly frustrating for a talent to be injured, the positive news right now is that Jake Doyle has undergone surgery, and that the surgery was a successful one.

From all of us at WhatCulture Wrestling, best wishes to Jake on his recovery, and here's looking forward to his eventual return to the ring.
