AEW stars The Young Bucks have abandoned their trademark application for 'The Wayward Sons.'

Matt and Nick Jackson had filed for the mark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 3 November, doing so via their company, Killing The Business Inc. The abandonment came on Monday (14 November).

There is currently no word on why The Young Bucks have abandoned 'The Wayward Sons'. Per the USPTO's Trademark Electronic Search System database, the Jacksons had sought to pursue it for the following:-

The description quoted above suggested that whatever the Bucks wanted to use 'The Wayward Sons' for, it might refer to their next move in AEW.

The Young Bucks' AEW Absence To End

Matt and Nick Jackson have been off AEW television since All Out 2022, where they and Kenny Omega became inaugural Trios World Champions but brawled with CM Punk after the show. Punk's incendiary press scrum comments on AEW's Executive Vice Presidents, Colt Cabana, and 'Hangman' Adam Page prompted Omega and the Bucks to approach Punk and Ace Steel in their locker room afterwards. A fight broke out, leading to the involved parties being served indefinite AEW suspensions.

Steel, who is alleged to have bitten Omega and pulled his hair, has since been released. Punk is understood to be on his way out as negotiations over a potential contract buyout continue. The Bucks and Omega, meanwhile, shall return at Full Gear 2022, facing Death Triangle for the Trios Titles.
