Let's go ahead and keep the trend going here... this was a very solid match, but it is completely overshadowed by two Match Of The Year candidates (CM Punk VS Brock Lesnar and John Cena VS Daniel Bryan) elsewhere on the same card. That's damn near the story of Del Rio's WWE career right there. As previously mentioned, the feud between Del Rio and Christian goes back to 2011, when Edge was forced to retire, allowing Del Rio to heel it up by claiming that he was the one that made Edge "run away". Continuing the feud, but with Edge's best friend this time, was a natural progression. Two years later, their match at SummerSlam 2013 might stand out as their best one together. Both men knew they had to step up in order to be remembered on a card with so much star power on it, and that's what they did. They wrestled a nice, stiff match, full of old school chain wrestling, reversals, and counters. It was a beautifully done match that probably would have been given its own Match Of The Year discussion had it been given five more minutes to work with (it finished at about the 12:30 mark). The added drama of Christian possibly having his last shot at the World Title only made the match more intense. When you look at the matches on this list, you see opponents for ADR that are either smaller than he is, or relatively close to being the same size. It kind of makes you wonder if Del Rio is capable of having good, entertaining matches with opponents that are much larger than he is. About that...
