Aleister Black To Face Mystery Opponent At WWE Extreme Rules 2019?
Black laid down the challenge on this week's SmackDown.
It looks like Aleister Black will finally escape from his darkened room to face whoever has been knocking at his door at WWE's upcoming Extreme Rules 2019 pay-per-view (14 July).
The former NXT Champion threw down the challenge on last night's SmackDown, telling his mystery assailant that he wants him to be at Extreme Rules, where they'll presumably face each other.
Recent weeks have seen Black almost begging the SmackDown roster to pick a fight with him. Somebody finally knocked on his door last week, but there was no grand reveal, with yesterday's diatribe revealing that there was nobody there when Aleister answered it.
These increasingly tedious segments jumped the shark a long time ago, and they've been going on since late April now. Here's hoping the angle reaches a conclusion at Extreme Rules.
Cesaro had previously been rumoured as Black's opponent. It's hard to read into that at the moment, as 'The Swiss Cyborg's' most recent actions involved decimating a helpless No Way Jose on Raw. Regardless, they'd likely have a great match together, and that'd almost certainly be enough to wash away the stench caused by these daft little promos.
