All 10 WWE PPVs John Cena Has Missed In The Last Decade
4. Cyber Sunday 2008
It would be another month before John Cena would return to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship in Boston at Survivor Series, but Cyber Sunday set the stage for that historic night. Before Jericho could defend against Cena, he first had to do battle with the hungry Batista. Jericho and Batista contested a decent matchup, but it was involvement from the special guest referees Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton that made it exciting. Triple H and Jeff Hardy also deserve props for delivering an exceptional contest for the WWE Championship further down the card. The 153,000 pay-per-view buys were down quite a bit from the 194,000 buys the year prior, so it wasn't too surprising when the event was scrapped the following year in favor of Bragging Rights. Cena's absence could have been a factor, but it was mostly due to the "fan voting" aspect no longer being a draw for fans.
