All 15 Undertaker/Triple H WWE Matches: Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Insurrextion 2002

Undertaker, Triple H, WrestleMania XXVIII

The pair's first encounter of their infamous 2002 feud took place at UK event Insurrextion. The match was the result of 'Taker's interference at Backlash a few weeks earlier during Triple H's WWE Championship defence against Hulk Hogan, which ultimately cost 'The Game' the title.

The match was a long drawn-out brawl between the two warriors, with the audience solidly behind Triple H. It was physical, brutal - everything it should have been - and undoubtedly sent the fans home happy. At the time, we couldn't have asked for anything more from a main event match between the two legends.

However, when comparing it to their later clashes, it pales in comparison. There wasn't much variety in their offence and despite its moderate run-time of 14 minutes, it felt a lot longer. Though it wasn't without great moments, the collapse of the top rope mid-way through the match hindered the pace as it rendered them unable to utilise any Irish whips.

To their credit, they produced a solid slug-fest and still managed to make things work, in spite of the top rope's collapse. It was a serviceable outing, albeit a disappointing one that, to this day, remains the only time in which Triple H scored a clean victory over The Undertaker.
