All 15 Undertaker/Triple H WWE Matches: Ranked From Worst To Best

8. SmackDown (13 July 2000)

Undertaker, Triple H, WrestleMania XXVIII
WWE Network

The Undertaker's first loss to Triple H took place on SmackDown in 2000, and the only real reason we had a clear victor was because someone finally thought it would be wise to implement a No DQ stipulation. Their first one-on-one encounter in a year, the WWE landscape was a lot different than it was in 1999 - the most important difference being Undertaker's return to fan-favourite status, which ensured that the crowd was fully invested in the match.

Things started a little slow but, to both men's credit, the pace increased as the match went on, with some surprisingly quick exchanges. It still wasn't anything noteworthy but it was an entertaining fistfight worthy of headlining SmackDown, and the screwy finish (in which Kurt Angle accidentally nailed 'The Phenom' with the sledgehammer while aiming for Triple H) was a nice way of allowing the heel Triple H to pick up the win.

'Taker was carrying a little extra weight around his middle during this period, so he was slower and visibly winded by the end of the match. Having said that, this was one of the more enjoyable brawls from his 'American Badass' era.
