1. Vengeance 2005 (Batista vs. Triple H)

Here we see the end of an era, as Triple H’s so-called “Reign of Terror” on RAW ended inside Hell in a Cell, as he took on Big Dave Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship.

By God, these two men leave everything in the ring.

Easily one of the most hardcore HiAC matches, Hunter and Big Dave absolutely destroy each other, getting cut and bruised with weapons from chains to a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. It’s almost like they saw the ECW show weeks prior and were intent on topping it.

Well, they succeeded. While One Night Stand had more over-the-top hardcore spots, Big Macintosh Dave and Hunter sell their attacks like death, and you feel the hatred between these men more than you did with Hunter and Shawn in their cell match.

This really is an under-appreciated gem, and if you haven’t seen it, fire it up on the Network right now.
