As part of the debacle that was the 2006 DX reunion tour, Triple H and Shawn Michaels took on the Spirit Squad in a 5-on-2 handicap match. Yes, this went on last. Yes, it’s a load of toss.
Essentially just a love letter to themselves, Shawn and Hunter spend 17 minutes beating the cr*p out of five guys from developmental. Sure, there’s an extended hope spot where the Squad cut off Michaels and get the heat, but that’s just to set up Big Strong Sexy Triple H’s hot tag. DX proceed to kill the Spirit Squad with a double pin and they celebrate like a bunch of goofs.
