4. Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase (2009)

This was a battle of the present versus the future as Triple H and Shawn Michaels of Degeneration-X took on Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase of The Legacy. Just because WWE doesn't let current Hell in a cell matches achieve the levels of brutality of the pre-PG era, that doesn't mean they can't be wildly entertaining with some elements of chaos. An extended sequence of brawling around the ring and in the crowd took place before the match, setting a chaotic tone for these four guys. When the match finally started, Cody and Ted were at a 2 on 1 advantage because they locked Triple H out of the Cell. This told a good story of them having the unfair advantage, but the biggest knock on this match is it took probably way too long before Triple H used bolt cutters to get back inside. D-X turned the odds in their favor as they locked DiBiase out of the Cell to finish off Cody Rhodes. They did a pretty sick spot where Shawn dropped the elbow off the top rope onto Cody, whose head was wedged inside a steel chair. The finish came about when Shawn gave Sweet Chin Music to Rhodes while Hunter simultaneously nailed him with the sledgehammer. D-X won this match that started off very hot and had a few great moments along the way.
