All 8 WWE Universal Champions Ranked Worst To Best
4. Seth Rollins
Since it's inception, arguably no man has been more synonymous with the Universal Championship. Despite that, it would be nearly three years before The Beastslayer would hold the red strap.
After winning the 2019 Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins would defeat Brock Lesnar in the opening match of WrestleMania 35 to finally win the Universal Championship. He would have a quick rivalry with AJ Styles before turning his attention to Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. After defeating Corbin twice in singles matches he would team with Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch to defend both their titles in a mixed tag Extreme Rules. Rollins' title reign would end moments later as Brock Lesnar would cash in his Money in the Bank contract to end the show.
The Beast and Beastslayer would finish off their rivalry at SummerSlam with Rollins regaining the Universal Championship and finally put Lesnar away for good. The Architect would then feud with Braun Strowman, with the two also winning the Raw Tag Team Titles. Both men would perform double duty at Clash of Champions, first losing their tag titles before Rollins would successfully defend his Universal Title in the main event.
Following this, Rollins title reign would take a turn for the worse. A Hell in a Cell match with The Fiend would end in a disqualification, leading to the fans to reject babyface Seth. The following month, The Fiend would thankfully put an end to the former Shield man, winning the Universal Championship in Saudi Arabia.
