1. The Revival

Can there really be any argument with this?

The only two-time champion team in NXT history, The Revival are clearly the finest tag team champions that the developmental brand has had to-date. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder also happen to be the current champions, and have been the top heels in the division ever since usurping The Vaudevillains for the titles in November of last year.

The duo have come a seriously long way from their fairly inauspicious beginnings. Upon forming in 2014 the duo were strictly an enhancement team, frequently losing on house shows to Enzo & Cass, The Vaudevillains and even The Legionnaires. They picked up the odd victory against Shoot Nation and Bull Dempsey & Tucker Night, but these wins were rare.

Everything changed with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the tournament in which Dash and Dawson reached the semi finals before losing to Finn Balor & Samoa Joe. Not long after the tournament ended the NXT Tag Titles were theirs, and the division has been their plaything ever since.

With American Alpha seemingly headed to the main roster, it is The Revival who will be tasked with steering the NXT Tag Team division into the future. They are more than capable of doing so.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
