And finally, the doc's most undeniably heartbreaking moment came when Tim White talked about the night that Andre died in his sleep of congestive heart failure in a Paris hotel room.

White devastatingly confessed, "We all have regrets in life...but I wish I could've been there with him. He died all alone in a hotel room. Can't change that now, can I?"

It's enough to make you want to reach through your TV and hug the guy. There's no walking that back, and 25 years later, it clearly still weighs on him hugely.
