Assessing The Futures Of 10 WWE Stars Who Didn't Make The Royal Rumble 2021 Cut

1. Aleister Black

Maybe Aleister Black always was a figment of the WWE Universe's collective imagination. I'm sure I remember a bad-ass Dutch guy kicking people's heads off and sitting cross-legged in the centre of the ring without a care in the world, but I guess it never happened.

Aleister Black has disappeared down the great abyss that is WWE creativity, and it will be difficult for him to be rehabilitated at this point. A strong showing in the Royal Rumble would have gone a long way to rebuilding Black in the eyes of the audience but he was as invisible as he has been for months, nowhere to be seen, a fading memory from the past. Maybe he'll return to action on the Road to WrestleMania?

Don't make me laugh. Aleister Black will almost certainly continue to missing in action as 2021 drags on, denying fans of professional wrestling the talents of one of the best in his physical prime. Black has made no secret of his frustrations with the booking plans of WWE's main roster, and the safe money would be on those frustrations growing over the coming weeks.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
