Assessing The Futures Of 10 WWE Stars Who Didn't Make The Royal Rumble 2022 Cut

1. Alexa Bliss

When looking at the women's roster, there were only three cleared Raw and SmackDown names - not counting a Bayley who is rumoured to return in March - who weren't in any kind of action at the Royal Rumble.

Whilst Asuka and Xia Li were two of those names, the other was Alexa Bliss.

Having recently made her return to WWE programming via pre-recorded therapist segments, Little Miss Bliss has yet to appear live on Raw or have an actual match as part of this return. Not just did some people have the former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion down as a cert for this year's women's Rumble, some fans had Bliss as a major favourite to win the match itself and earn a spot at WrestleMania 38.

Given the huge push and sheer amount of TV afforded to Alexa across the past year, this may be a case that's similar to that of Asuka. As in, you run the risk of having such a big character left totally overshadowed by the return of Rumble win of Ronda Rousey.

Once her therapist segments finish up, it remains to be seen just what version of Alexa Bliss we'll see back on Monday nights. Judging how WWE used Alexa during her last run on TV, she seems destined to be once again featured heavily on Raw as and when she fully returns.
