Asuka Vacates NXT Women's Title - WWE Main Roster Awaits

5. Four Horsewomen. Fatal Five-Way

Asuka's 500+ day demolition derby of the entire NXT female crew began marginally too late for her to collide with three of the four women credited with WWE's reimagined outlook on women's wrestling. Only Bayley from the original 'Four Horsewomen' tangled with the 'Empress Of Tomorrow', and she was heartbreakingly outmatched in both of their world class encounters.

It's a credit to WWE that a mass meeting of the lauded quartet has also yet to take place, but with the tacit acknowledgment of their underpinning excellence over the rest of the roster, an even greater main event potentially lies in weight.

Fitting the bill either as the main event of TakeOver: New Orleans or a blockbuster contest at WrestleMania 34 the following night, a fatal five-way between the quintessential quintet could either signal Asuka's developmental farewell once and for all.

One, two and even three women have previously tried and failed to topple her, but an exhausting battle against the four finest Raw and SmackDown has to offer could make her circumstances untenable. She could also lose the match without even being pinned. The prospect of her undefeated streak remaining in tact whilst, for example, Becky Lynch returned to NXT for a refresher run would be an ideal way to start life on the main roster, and craft an in-built return with the 'Irish Lass Kicker' upon her own return back.
