Asuka Vacates NXT Women's Title - WWE Main Roster Awaits

Oh how deliciously angry people would be.

When Edge cashed in the first ever Money In The Bank contract on John Cena back in 2006, he did so because Cena happened to be the titleholder who shared his show. When he'd first won the briefcase, Triple H and Batista were feuding over the company's World Heavyweight Title, and it was that prize the 'Rated-R Superstar' then kept an eye on.

The overarching point, tacitly made at the first attempt by the company, was that the briefcase was a shot at any title, not just the one nearest the challenger at the time. And it's that element of surprise that could catch Asuka out in the most unlikely of circumstances.

Carmella has vastly improved as a performer since winning both incarnations of the first ever women's Money In The Bank ladder match, but she'd still be low on most fans' list in the stakes to dethrone the longest reigning champion in the entire company.

'The Empress Of Tomorrow' would be primed and unsuspecting in the aftermath of yet another hard-fought victory at a TakeOver Network special, and would be perfect fodder for the 'Princess Of Staten Island' to return to NXT for a shockingly prosperous re-tune.
