Having not been seen on AEW programming for approaching 13 months, Private Party made their surprise return on last night's Dynamite.

There, we had a triple threat tag team match, where the winning tandem would earn a future shot at FTR's AEW Tag Team Titles. It was the Young Bucks against the Rascalz's Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed, and a third mystery team that many had speculated could be the returning Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. And while that 'mystery' spot was indeed a returning team, that returning team was Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen rather than Cope and Cage.

Ultimately, it was the Young Bucks getting the win and landing themselves another crack at FTR, with a Meltzer Driver on Myron Reed being enough to get the 1-2-3.

Following their return, Renee Paquette caught up with Private Party later in the night, with Kassidy and Quen saying how, even after winning the AEW Tag Team Titles in October 2024, they "still felt undesired", promising that they'll "start moving a little different" from here on out.

As alluded to, the last time Private Party were in action for AEW was back on the 22 January 2025 edition of Dynamite, where they lost the AEW Tag Team Championships to the Hurt Syndicate. Kassidy and Quen have wrestled just one match since then, which was a win over Daron Richardson and Jodi Aura for House of Glory back in March.

Both members of Private Party were regularly reported to be fit and healthy during this prolonged absence, with WWE said to have had solid interest in the team. However, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have now returned to AEW TV, suggesting that their future remains with Tony Khan's promotion.
