Paul 'Triple H' Levesque is set to make an announcement on tonight's WWE 2024 Preview Special - and it won't be a partnership between the market leaders and TNA.

Rumours that Levesque was to announce a WWE/TNA working relationship on the Preview Special, which airs on Peacock at 8PM ET tonight, had been doing the rounds on social media earlier this week. These have now been squashed by PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

WWE sources have indicated that "there is nothing to the connection that some are making and that the announcement is not related to a TNA working agreement or anything related to that company." This is simply a case of people jumping to conclusions.

TNA is to fully return as an active wrestling brand when IMPACT Wrestling airs its Hard to Kill 2024 pay-per-view next Saturday, 13 January.

Recently, WWE entered a working partnership with All Japan Pro Wrestling that, from what we know thus far, appears to involve a talent share with NXT. WWE sent the developmental brand's Charlie Dempsey to face AJPW's Triple Crown holder, Katsuhiko Nakajima, on Wednesday's 'New Year Giant Series' event at Korakuen Hall.
