With this year's WWE Draft set to take place at the end of the month, there's now an update on how things may play out once this annual rejig is done and dusted.

Via Fightful Select, Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov are said to be "a lock" for main roster moves, although Roxanne Perez's status is up in the air despite teases on TV that she's set to jump to Raw or SmackDown. Other NXT names discussed for a call-up are the D'Angelo Family and Baron Corbin, and Shawn Michaels himself isn't sure at this stage which NXT talent will be heading to the main roster.

The next couple of weeks of NXT TV will focus on the Draft, and there is the very real possibility of Raw and SmackDown talents moving to NXT as part of cementing NXT as a genuine third brand. As such, that's why The Final Testament and Ivar made appearances on last week's NXT.

As for the timing of this year's Draft, that was purposely done to capitalise on the "draft fever" brought by the NFL Draft. Fightful is told that WWE media partners will have some input on how the Draft plays out, although the outlet does note that the upcoming Netflix deal will be closer to next year's Draft rather than the 2024 one.

The WWE Draft takes place on the 26 April SmackDown and 29 April Raw.
