Becky Lynch was scathing in her appraisal of Ric Flair during today's appearance on The MMA Hour, having been asked about the decorated former WWE and WCW star ahead of Survivor Series 2021, where Lynch faces Ric's daughter, Charlotte.

Host Ariel Helwani queried Lynch for her thoughts on Ric, making specific reference to a tweet the 72-year-old had made on Becky's ongoing feud with Charlotte earlier in the week. In it, Flair spoke of travelling to Survivor Series to personally watch Lynch attempt to beat his daughter up, saying that there wasn't "enough choreography in the business" to save the Raw Women's Champion.

Speaking with Helwani, Becky revealed that she ended up deleting a particularly scathing reply she had drafted on Twitter:-

“Look, I uhhh… I saw that tweet, the one that you’re referring to and the one that I’m kind of referring to. I looked at it, and I wrote out a response that would’ve really been quite biting and I deleted it, and I let it go because I think it’s really sad… because this is a legend, at one point, who is now.. this legend, 16-time world champion, Ric Flair, is now jealous of me."

Lynch continued, accusing Ric of using her name for clout after his recent controversies, reiterating that she thought his situation was "sad":-

"[He’s] now trying to use me to great clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kinda just was like ‘ahh’, let me let him at it because it’s kinda… it’s kinda sad. You know? It’s kinda sad.”

The interview also saw Lynch comment on her backstage argument with Charlotte at the 22 October episode of SmackDown, with Becky claiming she knew Flair was going to disrespect her in their belt swap segment before it happened.
