Best (And Worst) Of NXT 2016

2. Woman Of The Year: Asuka

I mean...who else would it be? Bayley had a good couple of months, sure, and Nia Jax was fine for her rather brief tenure in NXT, but the entire year was the reign of The Empress of Tomorrow.

Since day one of her time in NXT, she has always been treated as a big deal. Currently undefeated, she has run roughshod over the entire division (besides Ember Moon, but we have 2017 for that) and hasn't looked back. WWE had to go out and get legends to face her, and even Mickie James couldn't dethrone her.

Asuka exudes confidence - to the point of over-confidence at times - but that makes her such a great character. Her smile is dangerous, and her almost sadistic pleasure for getting slapped is something that just fits with her work. She can take it, she can dish it out, and she is the only force to be reckoned with within the Women's Division. Just imagine her on Raw or SmackDown Live...who could ever stop her?
