Big Changes Coming To Ring Of Honor?

Is Ring of Honor about to get a major shot in the arm?

With Ring of Honor often sadly feeling like an afterthought these days, it appears there could be some notable changes on the way for AEW's sister company.

As per Fightful Select, ROH is set to have more "care" given to it, at least in the short term, with the upcoming Arlington, Texas TV tapings viewed as a potential turning point for the brand.

For those unaware, Saturday will be the start of a four-week residency for AEW/ROH in Arlington. The belief is that this will lead to more consistent shows in terms of creative, with multiple ROH episodes being filmed across one day rather than simply being taped on a weekly basis before or after a Dynamite or Collision.

Fightful also adds that the champions of ROH are expected to be featured on ROH programming on a more regular basis, be that competing in matches or simply making appearances. For example, ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe has only wrestled for ROH twice since winning that title three months ago; ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta - who admittedly had been dealing with an injury issue - has wrestled for ROH only three times since winning that title in November; ROH TV Champion Atlantis Jr. has only ever wrestled one match for ROH, period; and the Bang Bang Gang only defended the now-vacated (and merged) ROH Trios Titles once under the ROH banner after winning them in January.

On the other side of that, ROH Women's Champion Athena has been a mainstay of the brand, to the extent that many have been left baffled that she's not been utilised more on AEW programming, with the one-time Ember Moon delivering the best work of her career.
