Big Update On Blake Monroe's WWE Future After NXT Exit (WWE News)

Former NXT star seems SmackDown bound, but WWE's plans for new main roster grab could change.

PWInsider claims that former NXT standout Blake Monroe will debut on episodes of SmackDown by the end of May. That's WWE's current plan for the one time NXT Women's North American Champion, but the website did also note that plans can change. They change all the time in pro wrestling, and WWE is no different.

However, all going well, Blake will be part of the women's scene on the blue brand by the end of this month. Vignettes have started airing for her on SmackDown recently, but she hasn't shown up in person like Fatal Influence trio Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, or fellow ex-NXT'ers like Ricky Saints.

WWE's hype packages for Monroe include a "coming soon" message at the end, so it seems like Triple H and his creative team are content to build and build before Blake makes a splash.

There's no word from PWInsider (or other outlets, for that matter) on what Monroe could be doing once she does debut on the main roster. Jayne, Henley and Reid have targeted new Women's Champ and top star Rhea Ripley, but the group is also in the frame for a crack at the Women's Tag-Team Titles too. They've got a lot going on already.

It's likely that Blake will make quite the impact herself. Again though, nobody's quite sure just yet who she'll be feuding with or what belts she'll be going after once she lands on SmackDown. The fun will be in the finding out. Good things are coming the Brit's way, at least.
