Biggest Winners & Losers of AEW Double or Nothing 2024

9. Winner: MJF

Will Ospreay
AEW

Cutting a promo on a pay-per-view and still coming out of it as one of the most talked about performers who stole the show is impressive. At least, it would be to most people, but not when it comes to MJF.

He's always had the gift of gab—so much so that it allowed him to stand out before he was able to showcase his in-ring skills and establish himself as one of the most important assets to AEW's growth.

Now that he's not only returned from his injuries and at least partially taken care of his Adam Cole problem (as it remains to be seen how long that feud will continue), MJF spoke on his contract status, doubling down that AEW is the company he wants to continue building his legacy in and that he's going nowhere.

While that's upsetting for fans who wish to see him lock up with WWE Superstars and join in on all the fun going down there under The Paul Levesque Era, MJF made an emphatic statement that being here in AEW is his choice, rather than just where he's at for the time being. That should be a rousing morale booster to the locker room after a rough few years of talent like CM Punk leaving, Cody Rhodes going off to become an even bigger star and the constant rumors and speculation of who else will jump ship next.

MJF not only had a moment in getting some revenge on his former Brochacho, but he dissed some of the gimmicks that weren't working well in 2023, reinvigorated his spirits and gave fans something huge to pop about.
