3. Loser: Willow Nightingale
Just as Mercedes Moné levelled up, Willow Nightingale fell down the totem pole. Not in the sense that she's no longer a talent to be on the lookout for, as she's still going to be one of the best women in this division and should arguably gain even more popularity out of sympathy for her loss, but in a kayfabe sense, this was an awful night for her.
Of course, losing the match to Moné stings. All those words Nightingale said about proving she could beat her and the confidence boost that would have come with that, as well as the sweet sense of pride in shutting Moné up, didn't ring true. Coupling that with losing the championship so soon after winning it makes that loss even harder, as you never know when the next opportunity will come around.
But to make things worse, Nightingale also lost her two closest allies immediately after the match when Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander turned on her. She wasn't even able to seek comfort in the arms of her friends.
Now, she'll have to climb this uphill battle alone, which will no doubt mean she's on a shaky foundation with her confidence levels much lower than they've been in recent months.
