After rumblings that a heel turn was in her imminent WWE future, last night saw Blake Monroe cost Jordynne Grace at the Evolution Premium Live Event.

Evolution had the Juggernaut challenging Jacy Jayne for the NXT Championship, with Monroe at ringside to support Grace and help neutralise Jacy's Fatal Influence pals. And while the former AEW Women's Champion did stop Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx from getting involved in the match, she ultimately opted to screw Jordynne out of her title shot.

As for how that came about, Blake Monroe ended up with the NXT Women's Title in her hands after thwarting Nyx. Then, as Jordynne was thrown towards the ropes, Monroe hit her in the back with that belt, which allowed Jacy Jayne to hit her Rolling Encore finish for the 1-2-3.

While Michael Cole suggested that the belt shot was an accident, replays showed that Blake purposely struck Grace.

Post-match, Monroe handed the NXT Women's Championship to Jacy before posing in the entrance way as Jordynne Grace was left frustrated as she sat on the floor near the commentary desk.

For those who have not been keeping up with NXT in recent weeks, Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace had struck up an on-screen friendship, with the pair even teaming up for Monroe's official NXT in-ring debut at The Great American Bash on Saturday. In fact, that match saw the two face off with Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley, with the Glamour getting the win for her team by pinning Jayne.

With previous reports stating that Grace wouldn't be spending too long in NXT before heading to the main roster, it may well be that a feud with Blake Monroe will be a way for the former TNA Knockouts Champion to wrap up her time with the brand. Either way, given the sheer talent of the two people involved, a Grace vs. Munroe rivalry has the potential to bring some excellent matches to the table.
