Booking 10 Things That Should Happen After WrestleMania 33

9. Paving The Way For The Draft

The Drafts of old often made for an intriguing few months of WWE TV, because they bred anticipation for potential feuds, breakups and title switches in a way that felt almost legitimate.

While the next draft (presuming there’s going to be one in 2017) might seem a long way off after WrestleMania, it makes sense to start planting seeds early. Maybe tease dissension in a team or stable, or create a palpable sense of tension between the GMs and their Superstars, building conflict around whether or not they’d like to stay on their current brand.

This means that when Draft day comes around, it’ll feel like a big deal, or at least wrestling’s equivalent to football's transfer deadline day. Team swaps and purchases always make a big impact in other sports, so there’s no reason why the same shouldn’t happen for WWE – the Draft just needs the right level of promotion.
