8. The Miz And Daniel Bryan Finally Settle The Score

The Miz’s beef with Daniel Bryan has been ongoing since The Yes Man first entered the company. He was Bryan’s mentor back in NXT, he attacked Daniel when he re-debuted in 2010, and he now uses Bryan’s signature moves and taunts in his move set, as a way of expressing his disgust for the benevolent and bearded GM.

This has made for a fantastic sub-story on Smackdown Live, a kind of undercurrent of tension that permeates the show’s foreground stories, and often spills over onto Talking Smack. But there will come a time when The Miz and Daniel Bryan will need to settle their differences – a smart GM such as D-Bry can’t go on hating one of his most valuable employees, and Miz certainly can’t keep working in an environment in which he feels slighted at every turn.

There needs to be a big blow-off match, and while it’s still highly unlikely that Bryan will ever wrestle in a WWE ring again, that doesn’t mean he can’t sponsor a competitor to fight for him. This would present a great opportunity for an NXT call-up, perhaps an indie star who ‘reminds Daniel of himself’, or an endlessly popular wrestler whose signature ‘thing’ can be chanted to the beat of a single syllable, like ‘Yes!’

Or ‘10?’
