Booking 10 Things That Should Happen After WrestleMania 33

3. Cruiserweight Reintegration

The Cruiserweight Division currently feels segregated from the rest of its roster, and not in a positive way. In a manner similar to the initial ‘Diva’s Revolution’, the lighter stars of RAW and 205 Live were brought onto WWE’s flagship show in great number, and audiences struggled to connect with them out of the gate.

Their feuds and matches are divided between two shows, meaning RAW viewers are often left in the dark about the division if the Cruiserweight title changes hands on 205 Live. Cruiserwight babyfaces are also regularly booed in favour of heels like Neville and Brian Kendrick, and every moment of Cruiserweight TV time is marked by ugly purple ropes and temporary substituted commentators. It all makes the division feel like it belongs on another show, and is a good indication to most that it’s time for a toilet break.

WrestleMania can be the Cruiserweight division’s reset button. If they tear the house down in Orlando, they should be reintegrated into the show as a seamless part of RAW, not singled out as a sideshow attraction. That doesn’t mean having them get involved in feuds with heavier opponents, but it does mean doing away with the garish colour scheme and potentially 205 Live altogether. It’ll make the Cruiserweights seem like RAW’s ‘thing’, and the change won’t seem quite so noticeable following 'Mania.
