Booking 10 Things That Should Happen After WrestleMania 33
4. Corbin-Mania Runs Wild
Ever since his surprisingly great Chairs match against Kalisto at TLC, Baron Corbin has been the blue brand's resident King Midas, turning everything he touches into gold. As an agile powerhouse with a unique look and strong, inherently unlikable character, Corbin has become one of Smackdown Live’s top mid-card talents. He has impressed every time he’s graduated to main event-level matches.
But after WrestleMania 33, Baron Corbin should be firmly gunning for the big leagues, knocking off ‘cleaner’, more technically proficient opponents like AJ Styles and John Cena. We’ll presumably see an end to the long-running Wyatt-Orton storyline come Mania, which presents a good opportunity to inject some fresh blood into the blue brand’s main event scene.
Corbin presents the perfect dominant heel to sit atop the card, hogging the World Heavyweight title, and could also act as a great catalyst for an AJ Styles face turn. It’ll make for some great TV, so long as RAW doesn’t do the same thing with Braun Strowman. If that happens, the two similar angles would run parallel, resulting in diminishing returns for both Superstars.
