It worked last year, so why not do it again?

At NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, Adam Cole made history by becoming the first ever NXT North American Champion by outlasting The Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, EC3, Lars Sullivan and Killian Dane in an epic, 5 Star-Rated ladder match.

NXT is so busy with top stars right now, so getting them all on the card for TakeOver is becoming increasing difficult. You just have to look at where EC3 is now to see that.

Another multi-man ladder match, with multiple interweaving storylines, could be a nice excuse to get multiple people onto this card, as well as putting on an insane match in the process.

Ricochet would have to make an appearance as the champion and Velveteen Dream is very hot right now, but not quite ready for the NXT Championship yet, so he's in too. As mentioned earlier, Matt Riddle and Keith Lee could have a storyline very soon, so why not them let them shine in this match too?

Punishment Martinez could also be debuted in this match to fill the big man role and an unheralded surprise proposition like Jackson Ryker could be built up to fill the final role.

Whilst this might dilute the power of last year's ladder match, that match went so well that this the hype for a sequel would be off the scale. However, if you wanted to go down a more tradition route for the North American Championship, there's a ready-made feud for that already.
