Bray Wyatt made his long-awaited in-ring return at SummerSlam under the creepy new guise of 'The Fiend', and he did so with an updated entrance routine.

In addition to a new remix of his classic theme tune, Wyatt's lantern now took the form of his own decapitated head. Spooky stuff!

WWE uploaded the cool come-out to their official YouTube channel, only to subsequently repost it with the grody disembodied head visuals edited out.

According to Bryan Alvarez, speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE have no plans to drop the blood-curdling prop, and the changes were possibly made to circumvent YouTube's strict demonetisation rules. In fact, Alvarez was told that the company intends to sell replicas of the lantern, and that it'll be part of his upcoming Mattel action figure - this despite the toy manufacturer being very iffy on releasing individual body parts in the past.

We'll find out the full story next time 'The Fiend' competes on WWE television, based on how he lights his way to the ring.
